MapRows for Google Sheets™
Addresses to coordinates, right in your sheet.
Geocode whole columns of addresses, reverse-geocode coordinates, calculate distances and drive times, and map your rows without leaving Google Sheets.

Features
Everything location-shaped, in one sidebar.
MapRows works with your existing sheet. Choose the columns, choose the output, and press go.
Geocode addresses
Pick one address column or separate street, city, state and ZIP columns. Get latitude, longitude and a clean formatted address, plus county, postcode, country codes and a match-confidence score if you want them.
Reverse geocode
Turn latitude/longitude (two columns, or one "lat, lng" column) into street addresses and address parts.
Distance & travel time
Straight-line distance in miles or kilometres for any pair of addresses or coordinates. Pro adds driving, walking and cycling distance with travel time.
Map your rows
Insert a map image of your points on its own sheet, ready to share: up to 25 points on Free and 200 on Pro.
Made for big sheets
Work runs in short, saved chunks with a live progress card. Pause anytime. Hit the daily limit and it resumes from the next unfinished row.
A free formula
=MAPROWS_DISTANCE(lat1, lng1, lat2, lng2, "mi") calculates straight-line distances right in the cell. No lookups, no limits.
How it works
Three steps. No setup.
Open MapRows
In any spreadsheet, choose Extensions → MapRows → Open. MapRows spots address and coordinate columns by their headers.
Pick columns & outputs
Tick the address columns, choose Coordinates, Standard or Everything, and optionally limit matches to a country.
Run, pause, resume
Results fill new columns as you watch. Every row gets a status, and progress is saved as it goes.
A closer look
Clear results. No surprises.
A status on every row
OK, LOW_CONFIDENCE, NO_MATCH, EMPTY_INPUT, INVALID_INPUT or ERROR. Filter the sheet and fix what needs attention. Low-confidence matches are flagged rather than hidden.

Pauses safely, resumes exactly
Reached today's allowance? The progress card says so and keeps your place. After the reset, Resume carries on from the next unfinished row. Finished rows are never looked up twice.

Drive times in a column
With Pro, get driving, walking or cycling distance plus travel time for every origin and destination pair. Use addresses or coordinates on either side.

Interface previews with illustrative data. Distances and times shown are examples, not live results.
Plans
Free to start. Simple to upgrade.

Privacy
Your data stays yours.
MapRows asks Google for access to only the spreadsheet you have open. It reads just the columns you select and sends that text to Geoapify, our geocoding provider, to get results, then writes them into your sheet. It does not read your email address, Drive or other files. We run no servers that store your spreadsheet data. Read the privacy policy.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Is MapRows available now?
Yes. MapRows is on the Google Workspace Marketplace. Install it from its Marketplace page for free, then open it from Extensions → MapRows → Open MapRows in Google Sheets.
Does MapRows use Google Maps?
No. MapRows uses Geoapify with OpenStreetMap data. Google Maps Platform terms do not allow geocoding results to be stored permanently in a spreadsheet, and Geoapify's terms do. You can keep your results.
What counts as a lookup?
One address geocoded, one coordinate pair reverse-geocoded, or one map image. A driving, walking or cycling distance costs 1 lookup for the route plus 1 for each end that is an address rather than coordinates. A straight-line distance between two coordinates costs nothing.
What happens when I reach my daily limit?
The task pauses and your progress is saved. After the daily reset (midnight UTC), click Resume and MapRows continues from the next unfinished row. Rows that are already done are skipped, so they never cost a second lookup.
Will MapRows change my existing data?
No. Results are written into new columns to the right of your data, and MapRows never edits your own columns or formulas. On later runs it reuses the columns it created.
How accurate are the results?
Accuracy depends on how complete the address is and on OpenStreetMap coverage in that area. Every row gets a match-confidence score and a status (OK, LOW_CONFIDENCE, NO_MATCH and so on), so you can filter and check the ones that matter.
Do you see or store my spreadsheet?
No. MapRows reads only the columns you select, sends that cell text to Geoapify to get results, and writes them back to your sheet. We operate no servers that receive or store your spreadsheet data. See our privacy policy.
How do I cancel Pro?
In the add-on, open Account and choose "Manage or cancel subscription", or send one email to support@cellbrook.com. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and there are no further charges. First payments can be refunded within 14 days, no questions asked.
